lt1 motor in 2000 s10 backfiring
I have a 2000 s10 with lt1 motor in it that is backfiring. new distributor, plugs, wires, cap and new fuel pump. Injectors are not leaking. Any suggestions as to what is causing it to backfire.

Backfiring when? Idle, accel, decel? Is the motor modified at all or is it stock? Did it happen after the new opti/cap/plugs/wires? Basically, when did it start backfiring??

Let's move this to "LT1 Based Engine Tech"..... More likely to get tech help there than you are here in "New Member Introduction".
Have you scanned it for codes? Was it backfiring before you changed out all the parts you list? Have you checked the fuel pressure? Have you checked the valve adjustment? What year is the LT1 engine? What year ECM/PCM are you using? Is the engine stock, or modified? If modified, what has been done?

And, still need this info:
I understand you haven't "messed" with the valve adjustment, but have you checked it?

Have you checked the valve adjustment?
