Left hand in a right hand land part 2
Chev V8 engines are used in Australian Holdens for years in fact your Pontiac GTO is a rebadged left hand drive Holden Monaro
Years ago I played around with high lift rockers in european engines It meant you could run a consevative cam but have the effect at the valves of a real hairy cam the only problem was unless the pedestals that suported the tappets / rockers were bang on for hight then the tappets / rockers would start clawing the valves side ways & premerturely wear out the valve guides.
Has anyone run high lift Tappets / rockers ?
Any advice ?

You would get much more bang for the buck by doing a cam than rockers. The stock cams are pretty small, and you can get aftermarket ones that will still drive and idle like stock. Lingenfelter has a GT2-3 that I have run with the stock tune with no issues.

I have been told by one of our better tuners down here that if I replaced the camsharft I should look at 222 - 227 duration
570 - 600 lift
111 - 114 lsa
Does the Lingenfelter match these specs ?
