lt1 noise

lt1 noise

while the engine is running it sounds like there is metal brushing on something continuously.. is this related to the hvac unit? had someone check it out.. they think its that but recommended to ask everyone on this forum. thanks

It could be the balancer rubbing against the timing cover.

Tensioner or idler pulley??? A/C compressor clutch??? Power steering pump??? Air pump??? Alternator???

Could be anywhere?????

What did you find? I get that sporadically and it is the AC clutch. Flip on the AC and see if it stops.
