Few Questions.
Car info:
1986 Camaro iroc Z28
the car has been sitting for 4 years, and i just got a motor to put in it, i got the motor put in it and now im working out the kinks. So here is a few issues im having.
But first the kind of motor i put in:
1982 Chevy monte carlo
267
4.4 litre
I hooked up my oil pressure today, and its only reading about 25-30 PSI
Is this good or bad?
My TAC is "backwards"
The tac worked before it stopped running 4 years ago.
by 'backwards' i mean when its started it reads about 45 and when i gas it it goes past 70, in which both of those are in the RED.
it doesnt start at 0 like its suppose to, it jumps right into red lining, what do i need to look for to fix this?

When is the oil pressure 25-30psi? At idle, that's good. At 5,500rpm that's bad. Did you verify that the resistance vs. pressure of the Monte Carlo pressure sending unit is compatible with your 86 gauge panel?
Ditto with the tach - sounds like the point you hooked it up to may be putting out a signal that is 8X the signal from your 86's original engine.

and the oil pressure guage i hooked up is actually an aftermarkey gauge and is mechanical not electrical thefore not going through a sending unit, its running straight threw a hose to the gauge.
and the pressire is at 25 at idle, and when im going down the road/revving it up, it goes to about 50-55
