does anybody know where the vats modular is located
my cousin borrowed my Z28 and lost the keys to it. its been two years since I've been able to drive this car.
I bought some bypass gimmick on eBay.that didn't work.
I bought the 15 different resistors on ebay those didn't work.the seller told me to wait a week in between each resistor for the code to clear.

I bought a good used VATS modular with the matching key.
I can't find out where the vate modular is located. I have ripped apart half of my dash and kick panels.
the only diagram I could find showed it being right next to the passengers airbag.

I love my Z28...Had to get a truck for work. Vortec Maxx Silverado. But not the same

Theft deterrent module (TDM) is located under passenger side of dash. Go to:

I think it is right behind the glove box. Probably easiest to remove the glove box, if is like my 98 (3 screws)

The 94 factory manual shows it screwed to the side of the passenger side airbag support bracket.

Awesom..thanks for the help guys..now I just have to figure out how to get to it..I followed the wires right next to the air bag but wasn't sure if it was on top of the airbag then I was trying to figure out how to pull the bag out I figured I would ask here before I exploded the bag on accident

I was thinking it was on the right side but it looks like it's left of the glove box, not behind it. Might have to remove the radio to reach it.
