Maybe it is just a bug they came up with an excuse for later

It might pick up some fuel economy on the government test. That would be what I would bet on.

This is also the kinda crap that scares me about the "drive by wire"...what else will they decide is best for me and my vehicle?
4 second delay in emergency braking? turning half input?....thank God for the aftermarket.....
