Anyone using a knock sensor with Speed Pro (FAST) system?

Wired in my Speed Pro system today, and in the instructions it says a seperate module must be purchased for the system to control knock retard.

Anyone using this, or have you found it unnecessary?

I was going to purchase the knock sensor but was told it would pick up alot of false knock from the blower.
