Thumbs up Sound clip of my heads/cam XE 236/242/112 with open headers!!!

In my last big post talking about how my heads/cam setup was going, a friend of mine posted a link to a sound clip but it was deep within the post. So here it is again for everyone to hear. I also will be getting another sound clip of the car this weekend with my new Hooker exhaust. I am going to be getting rid of the flubbermaster or dronemaster because IMO it sounds like crap. Well enough of the bs, here is the link. A big thanks to LS1_03 for the hosting and taping of the car.

Welcome Bri Guy. Can't wait to see what the Hooker sounds like. Hope it sounds mean as hell.

That car sounds bad *** man! I put some MAC headers on mine, left the exhaust off and man I loved it too. Hahaha.

well i was one of those people wos opinion was that the cam was a little to big. im still curious what kind of power you make with. i wish you the best with it. keep us posted

but the sound of that car makes makes me want to change my choice in cams. that is the exact sound im looking for in a cam. im willing to sacrifice ten hp of so to keep the sound.

OMG, that sounds ungodly awsome. I thought my cam, 230/236 110, was going to sound bad@ss, but now I want to sell that cam and get yours. Congrats on the completion of the project man, but like everyone else said would like to hear more idle of that ungodly car.

Thanks for the compliments so far, and yes the cam does sound even better in person. With the exhaust on the car, it sounds alot tamer, but still has the big lope to it. Last night I changed the cat-back from a Flowmaster American Thunder to a Hooker cat back. IMO, the Hooker sounds AWESOME with this setup. I couldn't be any happier with it. It sounds kinda mellow going through town, but once you step on it, it comes to life. Hopefully, tonight we will have some more sound clips of the Hooker and some of the idling with open headers.

I'll try and get the idle sounds of the Flowmaster and the now new Hooker exhaust up tonight. Maybe another open headers idle.

The flowmaster sounds way better than the hooker. The hooker sounds like a motorcycle.

Take into mind the quality of these files aren't as good as in person. Although the flowmaster sounded great at idle, but everywhere else in the RPM range it sounded too high pitched. The hooker adds some bass to the exhaust note, and it overall sounds 100x better than the dronemaster. But, it's your opinion.
