People with car audio hookups: come inside!!

My CD player skips; ALOT. Sometimes I just want to pull over and kick the **** out of it. It's a fairly new flip-up expensive sony Xplod deck, which looks awsome, but skips too damn much. Time for a new deck. A good one that looks nice. Anyone here can get one at a discount for whatever reason, I don't wanna know, I just want the deck.
Oh, yeah, and does anyone have cheaper hookups for in-dash DVD players? Maybe I can put one of those in instead of the CD player; they look sweet!

Angry Death to the Monsoon

Hey guys, I have a new 2002 firehawk which I love except for the monsoon stereo. It sounds good on paper; 500 watt, 10 speakers, it's the same one I had in my 95 TA pretty much. My problem, if I pull out the factory system will my stereo controls on the steering wheel still work. Plus there isn't much room for subs and amps. I could get one sub in the driver's back corner but I don't want to use my rear-deck for amps. They're too visible from the outside. Anyways, any info will help me plus I'm in the market for a new, or near new car stereo, I like Alpine and JL Audio. Any good set-ups for sale out there?

Hey nice car

You can get an addapter from PAC that alows you to keep the stearing wheel controls with certain aftermarket decks . I agree about the monsoon sucking @ss . I originally wanted to keep my factory 12 disc and cd seck, which doesnt work with aftermarket hu's , so I orded up a pac oem 1 setup . The pac gives two sets of pre outs in a " factory " style wiring harness that is plug and play . From that I ran 1 big four channel amp into 4 infinity kappa speakers which sounds way better than stock and is still not too heavy . . . . . except now I pulled my cd stacker anyways to save the weight

Heres an awsome link for everything monsoon
