Those with Cams
Usually, the bigger the cam is the more cam surge your going to get. I just recently put in a xe-224/236 cam on a 114lsa. This cam has a little cam surge at the bottom but obe I get it over 1500 it pretty much goes away. As soon as I get a converter for this cam all the cam surge should be pretty much gone.
After installing my cc305 I've noticed a cam surge if i run under 2000rpm. Anything above it no surge what so ever.
Most of the times it's not that bad but sometimes it really noticeable. I still need to get the pcm reprogramed and that should help it some, thats what I've heard.
It is a daily driver as well.

It really depends what cam you choose, what your engine setup is, and your tansmission should be a consideration too when picking out a cam. With the hotcam before tunning, I had some surge below 1900rpm ruffly. After I got tunning from Bryan at www.pcmforless.com it was a night and day difference. I know only get surge if im under about 1500-1600 rpm and hardly have any throttle in.
