Rack and Pinion....sleeperZragtop 02-19-2003, 12:17 AM ...another question...I'm in the middle of removing my upper and lower a-arms and I'm having issue's removing the bolt at the rack and pinion...the rack is blocking the removal of that bolt..therefore hindering Shawn R. of getting his lowers:) ...is there the only two bolts holding the rack in place at the k-member...I just need to move it a half an inch..thanks alot.. Mike:) 97TA-WS6-Con 02-19-2003, 12:36 AM Hmmm. I know the problem. You cannot remove the last bolt on the A-Arm because it will not clear the inner tie rod end. It seems to me that there was two bolts that secured the rack and pinion. That was it. I then just pulled the rack out a little.
