Real bad luck in Florida's Best Driving Season

Gents/Ladies;

Wish me luck and pray for me!

I have the first of 2 Kidney Cancer surgeries on Monday over at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. The second is 6 weeks later. Rats!!! But at least I caught it early after having some scans done after Melanoma last September. Always remember to enjoy life to the fullest!

Due to the invasive level of these surgeries, I will not be cutting any hard corners for about 4 to 8 months. Having to avoid hard driving for awhile, will hurt almost as much as the surgeries themselves. Also the next 3 months is the most enjoyable time to drive hard in South Florida, the the temps and humidity are reasonable and the LT1s love the cool air!

I will also miss discussions with you folks too. Take care.

Best of luck, Rick. I bet you'll be desperate to get back out to the track when this is all over!

Good Luck to you. You should still be able to go for some nice cruises. It's pretty nice down there. Best wishes on your surgery.

Thanks guys!

After 10 days, I can finally make it upstairs to reach the computer. My left side still hurts like an SOB, but I am getting better every day. It was alot worse than I expected, but not as bad as I feared.

3/31/03 will be the surgery date for my right kidney (ouch).

Enjoy life to the fullest! Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.

Ouch!

Here's hoping you make out OK, and go on to live to be an old man that still drives hotrods in his 80's. :D
