Question Best cam for a street driven A4?

What would be a great cam for a 95 Z28, A4, 2800 stall, and stock heads? This cam has to have great loping properties too! Just give me your ideas!

CC305's don't "lope"... but then again, any of the good cams for street-driven stock-heads aren't gonna "lope" much after proper tuning is done....

a CC306 will lope pretty hard, but it will also kill your mileage and make it not pass emissions anymore...

I'm going with the Hotcam because it has a fair lope (112 lobe separation, more "lope" than a CC305) and because it's low cost and because it was DESIGNED to work with stock heads, which is what I have. Can't beat the price.

U got the perfect stall to compliment the Hot Cam kit. It's the ebst bang for ur buck in my opinion. follow it up with a nice tuning and u'll gain anywhere from 25-50 RWHP with headers and full exhaust.

The HOT cam kit is a bargain and would work well for your application.

Right now I have the engine out of my car, and I wanted to put a new cam in before I put it back in (in about 2 months)...I already looked for cc305's and the hotcam kit...I don't have a lot of money (just turned 17 a couple of days ago), so I don't care which lopes more, I just want to buy the cheaper of the two (Its the hotcam right?)...The thing is, I havn't found a place to buy the hotcam kit. Where can you get it? Also, when you put a new cam in, you need new roller rockers (self aligning 1.6", or not?), valvesprings, and a couple of other things (I don't know the specifics) don't you?...Basicly, I need to know: if I buy the hotcam kit, will I need to buy anything else, and also, how much does it cost? (I don't have headers yet, but I wanted to get the cam in before I put the engine back in)...any advice?

Give Jason Cromer, www.samtaylor.com a call. Click on "PARTS". The Hotcam kit goes for about $465 last time I checked. You get cam, springs, seats, lock, retainers, and 1.6 rockers. This is what I did. I think it was a good deal. My car has "issues" so I don't think I have felt the full power of this cam.
