Help! MAF problemsTransAmTONY 01-23-2003, 09:53 AM My autotap says I am throwing a p100 code. So, I check the wiring going to the MAF. 13.0 volts from the Battery, and 5.00V reference so that is good to go. My MAF is practically brand new, I bought a GMS MAF and I'd say it dosn't have any more that 3-5,000 miles on it. I took it out and cleaned it with alcohol and q-tips just to be sure and still I am getting p100 and a air fuel ratio of 14.2:1 What the hell could it be? Any ideas? BlackDog 01-27-2003, 08:00 PM I had a same problem with my stock unit. It turn out to the connector. The little sockets were not tight enough around the pins in the maf unit. If you take a sewing needle you can get the wires out of the connector and use needle nose pilers to squeeze them a little smaller so when the connector is connected to the maf they make a snug fit. Just a thought. I also had the same problem also fixed the same way. T/aTony,try pressing on the connector/wires while the engine is running this should set off the code. If it does you know that is the culprit. | ||
