Do Most Use Some Type Of Boost Sensing Timing Control?

For those that haven't dyno tuned is it more common for people to set timing in pcm or use boost sensing to lower timing?

No dyno tune here. Only road tune with use of Dyno-Jet wide band and scan tool. I do not use a BTM timing control. I have a manual MSD timing adjustment, but, do not dial the timing back. All timing is set by the OBD2 PCM with LT1_edit flash. B.
