Question 2.73 to 3.23 in 98 A4 T/A
If I do this swap what do I need to correct the speedometer, and how difficult is it to install? (I know it is possible to correct via Hypertech, but don't want to spend the $$$ for that one feature)

I dont think so. A quick way to check after the swap is to use a gps and check out the speedometer.

You will need to have the computer retuned for the gears. No way around it.

Yes, because the Hypertech retunes the computer for the gears. It just an expensive way to do it.
