c-clip elimators

hello, i am mostly new to this site and want to say i really like for what ive seen, i have a 1984 camaro z28 with a 350 and i blew my posi out of my rear end, i was wondering would it be worth it to get strange engineering axles and c-clip eliminators and then weld my spider gears together, has anyone done this? isnt it pretty much the same as a spool?

NHRA does not permit welded spider gears. A mini-spoll for a 7.5" 10-bolt is $90. Not very street friendly. NHRA also requires C-clip eliminators on all classes except Stock and some higher ET classes.
