Modsz28camaro1090 03-16-2009, 07:20 PM for some odd reason i have a feeling gm has something really restricted on the new camaro.. like a really restrictive exhaust or air intake.. the car isnt going to be much faster then a 02 ss .. so i think there is something holding it back alittle what do you guys think.. This "it's not much quicker than a 4th gen" talk is being thought about the wrong way - it's commentary on how good the 4th gen was, not commentary on how "slow" the 5th gen is. Basically, don't be upset because of how screaming fast a stock 4th gen was. Fact is a 98-02 V8 F body is can still hang with a 2009-2010 Mustang GT. And then the 5th gen comes along and drops the 0-60 time to 4.7 (which no stock 4th gen did) and lays down what appear to be reliable, repeatable 12s at 111.
