I want to install a DVD player in the dash, and maybe another head unit just for radio below it in a double din setup or just a dvd that does it all. I have many questions about this. First, is there any in dash dvd players that have motorized screens and have everything you need to watch a movie, play a cd, or listen to the radio all in one unit. This would be ideal. If not, what other options are out there to set up an in dash dvd player. Do I need a player, a screen, and a radio. I have no knowledge in this area so any help you can give me would be great.

And those are just a couple. I wouldn't buy from crutchfield though.... they are a great company, 24 hour tech support, authorized dealers, free wiring harness and install kits...... but all that comes with an extra price! But then again..... you seem to have the money to spend!!!

I recently bought the JVC KV-DV7. It's a 1-din DVD player and you can find it for under $300. It's a great looking piece. I haven't installed it yet, but I will soon.

Thanks for the info. The all in one units are nice but are extremely high priced. I have been reading more and may look to mounting a screen up from some how with the dvd player in the back or something. Would like it to be accessible however from the front seats. Might look to mounting under the seats or somethign. Thanks for the info. Oh, the clarion unit is pretty cool looking but out of the price range I am looking for by a thousand or so. Maybe when I get the tax return. Later all.

I used a Pioneer head unit with Aux input adapter, a Boss DVD player that mounts in the rear, a 7 LCD screen mounted on the console. Plays any disc, CD, DVD, MP3 all through the stereo and speakers. Really does a nice job. Got the DVD stuff on Ebay dirt cheap, head unit was less than 200 and the input adapter was 40 bucks.

i just bought a kenwood z910dvd for $610

it plays cd and dvds...doesn't play mp3's:(

it has a video out so you may mount your screen up higher, i'm planning to mount mine in the dash on a flip up setup.

problem with the ones that have touch screens is that the screen wears in the button spots and messes up your screen, anti glare coatings come off and so on. plus who wants your screen that low anyhow!

imo check it out its a good deal
