Cheap DVD players on Ebay

A friend of mine wants a dvd player so I told him I would look on ebay for him. I found this dvd player with built in screen.

Also I found this single din DVD player with two lcd screens.

I know these are generic brands and all but all they have to do is play DVD's. Are they good for the price. Also are the cheap screens good picture quality. I was just wondering if anybody has dealt with this and if the quality is descent.

I don't know if this store is in your area but "FRY'S ELECTRONICS"
always has a deal on a dvd player for cars for about 350.

I'll move this to the Custom Audio section. You'll most likely get more/better responses there.

I'm not sure, but I'm really interested if anyone knows anything about this.

That is a very good price, I've seen indash DVD players for sale for over a 1000 dollars. But I'm not sure if that is a motorized screen or not. I'm so tempted to buy one...but I don't know if a generic name is a good idea or not.

Well, first off, it looks like the first one is actually two seperate pieces of equipment. One piece, which is just a LCD in the dash and the second piece is a DVD/CD/MP3 player that you will have to mount somewhere in the car. But I hope you can stilll reach it from the drivers seat!!

The second link isin't even an in-dash model. It's the same DVD/CD/MP3 player plus 2 seperate LCD screens. You will have to mount all 3 pieces of gear somewhere in your car. Hopefully, all close to the drivers seat!!

So actually, neither of those are actually what you are looking for I believe. Your looking for an "all in one" in-dash player huh?

Secondly, those aren't the highest quality pieces of gear.... when looking for something like that.....spend the money and buy some quality (yes, it may be $1000+)... you'll be happy you did!!

I was just thinking,

That little whole where the tapes go in the camaros, how big is that opening? why not ****** up a cheap LCD, and a dvd player, would run $250 at the most, and play that?

Hell, for $250 cant be that bad.

I am sure we can fab up some frames, wish my maro was out of the shop, would be measuring right now.

Because broken crap doesn't play dvds well.

Reliability on cheap POS products isn't anywhere near what it is on quality stuff.

Just an FYI, I've got a DVD and a 5.6" LCD I'm selling. The LCD is mounted onto a perfectly fit plate which matches the dash plastic and the DVD player is a portable Panasonic unit which was mounted in my glove box, search for my name in the for sale section for more details.
