I have a 95 Z28 and a 99 Grand Prix GTP. I have some wide low pro 255/40ZR17s on my prix and they do not work good in winter at all. the stock tires on the Z28 are in much better condition and alot skinnier. just wondering if anyone can help me as to weather or not the rims will bolt up or not before I go out in the cold and try it tommorow.

I had rims from my 82 camaro on the 99 grand prix, so there is hope. but I dont know if they changed from 82 to 95.

Thanks for the help

i know the spacing is different between a 3rd gen and a 4th but i think thats it.

but you do think the bolt pattern is the same?.. When I used the 82 camaro rims the stick WAY out, past the fenders.. maybe the 95's wont do that?..

3rd Gen and 4th Gen F-Bodys both use a 5 x 4.75" (120.65mm) bolt circle. The 3rd Gens have close to 0 offset (varies a bit from year to year and from front to back on some years) and the 4th Gens have a roughly +2" offset. That means the 4th Gen wheels will sit 1.5" to 2" deeper in the wheel well than the 3rd Gen wheels.

well thats good. the 3rd gen rims stuck out way to far. looked kinda cool and stupid at the same time. lol..

but, since the bolt paterns are the same as my 82, it should bolt up. sweet that will save me alot of money on tires this winter!

thanks everyone for the help...

4th gen rims will not fit 3rd gens
3rd gens will fit 4th
3rd and 4th will not fit GPs at all.

Mustang rims WILL fit GPs but stick out a SLIGHT bit... to some it's nothing. Depends on how anal you are.

WTF? This shouldn't be. Something's amiss. I owned a 92 AND 98 GTP and f-body rims didn't fit at all.

ohhh, you know what.. I got to thinking, and I just remembered that the rims on my camaro were aftermarekt and had the dual lug pattern built in.. shyt.. that would explain it.. grrr.

4th Gen F-Body wheels will work on a 3rd Gen F-Body with large (1.5 - 2.0") bolt-on spacers. Its just a function of the offset. Skulte Designs specializes in adapter/spacers allowing 4th Gen F-Body and late-model Corvette wheels to be used on 3rd Gens.

The rim comes in contact with either the brakes or some of the suspension I don't remember. Yes, they will bolt up but they have to be pretty damned shallow on the inside.
