T-Top latch lubricant

So my T-top latchs squeaks pretty loud when you flip the handle to take them out or lock them in, and they seem to be getting harder to open/close. What is the recommended lubrication, and where do you put it?

I thought about spraying some silicone spray in them but I figured I would ask here first to see if anyone knew anything to use or avoid.

Thanks in advance for the help

I thought that stuff was bad on some plastics and rubber so I was a little worried about using it, but if you haven't had any problems I'll have to give it a spray.

Take off the trim and clean up the mechanism with penetrating oil while cycling handle then coat with grease.
