2 holes in FRC... What are they for?

So im getting ready to paint my LT1 FRC's and i noticed on the drivers side one has 2 holes in it.. I have no idea what they are for. Im wanting to fill them if i have no use for them. So can anyone tell me what they are for? Thanks

maybe you have the ones for the 92-93 LT1's.. I have the 94-96. These holes where not drilled by anyone. These where brand new factory sealed when i bought them.
