spark plug change

Is it fairly easy to change spark plugs, besides the lack of room there is.I read up a little on other posts and come to the conclusion that you take the wires off unscrew the plugs and put
a little antiseize on the new ones screw them in snug then with
a socket wrench(special one)give a little turn but not to tight. then slap the new wires on.but also 1 at a time right so I dont get mixed up. anything more to do,sorry Im mechanically challenged:D

nevermind sorry found out theres alot more to it than just that.
I guess Ill go somewhere to have it done.Is it also better to buy the plugs and wires and just have them install it, than have to choose from there cheap selection.I will probably go to pepboys

the consensus seems to be taylor 8mm wires and NGK plugs. both available at thunderracing.com

just got this exact set myself. been putting off putting them in tho. I'd rather do another LSD swap than plugs. :D

what year car do you have? 2000+ have easier times when it comes to changing spark plugs due to space.
and it isnt all that complicated. first time i did it it took me an hour. and thats because i was being way careful and was a lot younger. now that i have headers it makes it even easier and i change out all 6 in about 30 minutes tops.
its really easy and i would suggest doing it yourself and not giving away some hard earned money.
btw, you were dead on on how to do it. i found that it is easier to if you use a swivel extension. now i change my plugs as often as i change my oil. i buy regular acdelco plugs. i will never buy bosch for an american car. nor will i spend more than 2 buck on a plug! as for wires i do have taylor wires.

buy the taylors 8mm and buy the delco plugs, I agree $2 is enough for a plug for now maybe next time I go with the ngk's.

Good luck finding any Delco Rapidfires in the East/South Bay. I called almost every dealership and 99% said they didn't carry them.

The Taylor wires are fine, I have them on my car and haven't had a problem with them. Just installed the new plugs and wires 2-3 months ago...no probs.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding them at Pep Boys or Autozone. :confused:

I called the two AutoZones in my area...one didn't have any and the other only had 3. Pep Boys didn't carry them...only the platinum Delcos.

I found them at a small SMALL Chevrolet dealership that ordered them from a warehouse.

i wouldnt even get rapid fire. i get regular, no gimics, ac delco that you can prolly buy at wal mart. i change them all the time, so thats why its no big deal to me.
