I have a friend who is willing to make me an aluminum intake for roughly the price of a FAST intake. Similar to this:



Would there be any advantage to going to an aftermarket custom intake or should I just stick with the Z06 one?

This is for a LSX block with L92 heads and a turbo(s).

 

gmpp L92 efi carb intake with an elbow would be better than going all out and getting a custom one like the one pictured. if you head over to ls1tech and do a search you can find some info.

 

Does your buddy have any experience making a intake or just thinks it something he can do?
