Looking for -11cc flat top 400SBC pistons. Where do I get them?

I'm building a 427 SBC 400 block. 6" rods, 4" stroke, 0 deck height, .040 quench, 1" compression height. I'm trying to get to 11.5:1 and I will need 4.125" bore, -11cc flat top pistons to do this. I am having a heck of time finding some. Do I have to get them custom made or something?

LOL,

Check the volume of he heads after a set of valves and valve job are in there first. Then get pistons, I doubt you will need them to be exactly -11cc.

What CC chamber? I think I remember you saying 62 or so?

Here are a couple of options from Wiseco. After having a hard time finding pistons for my BBC I found these guys are really on the ball with their stuff. I normally run Ross, but not anymore. Check out their Pro Tru Catalog.

Why do you want to zero deck your block? Maybe leave the pistons down in the hole a couple of thousands.

It looks like I will really need to measure the chambers before I get any pistons. I did some research on the heads I have. They are advertised at 64cc, but a couple of guys measured theirs at 69cc.

...plus when you do decide on the pistons you will have to mock up the motor and see how far down the hole the pistons are. Then mill the block accordingly. You don't need to absolutely "zero" deck the block.

What do you actually physically have right now in terms of parts? If you have everything listed above then find the thinnest head gasket you can and then deck the block to reach your goal in conjunction with the pistons.

where do you need to be comp wise.

I take it you figured dynamic....(is this street use ?) so where do you need to be static? then you can figure out what needs to be where....quench etc. you need to have the head cc-ed thenmeasure deck height. I would just let the builder firure all of this out

So I can use a .040" head gasket and have the perfect quench with enough gasket material to compensate for expansion of aluminum and surface irregularities

The only thing I have physically right now are the heads.
