will nos solenoids quit working at high psi?ghost stripes 08-22-2007, 06:26 PM here the deal my fuel solenoid works fine but i cant purge or wot and get any nos ....is there something im missing here the bottle pressure is in the red at 1300 does that make a difference? karpetcm5 08-22-2007, 08:02 PM yes definitly, solenoid wont open and most likely fail. Besides doesnt need to be at 1300 thats dangerous and way to high. Is the weather really really warm outside? do you have a bottle heater ? make sure it doesnt go any higher then 1000-1100 most people run just fine at around 900-950. ghost stripes 08-22-2007, 08:17 PM when the bottle is that high how do you cool it down....no bottle heater just in the back seat missetti 08-22-2007, 10:35 PM When I'm racing during the summer, I always have ice in a milk jug to help keep the pressure where I want it. And yes, to much pressure will close your selenoid. karpetcm5 08-22-2007, 10:53 PM The easiest way for me to drop pressure is take the bottle out of the car open the valve and release some of the nitrous yes you will lose some nitrous but it will drop pressure immediatly and it will be safe to use. When they fill up my nitrous bottle it always goes up to 1100 psi before pluggin the line back on i release some and drop the pressure. | ||
