Whine with a load
Whine with a load
Last week I had a new gear and the install kit put in by a not so great local shop. Driving it the first few days everything seemed ok to me, no noticeable howl that I had previously. However today was the first day I had it on the highway and once I got over 50ish, the rear end started howling a little bit when I would get on the gas even a little bit and then it would go away as soon as I let off of the gas. Improperly set backlash?
Also got a T/A cover put on and its leaking a little bit. Is this because they only used the gasket that came with it and no RTV or is there another probable reason?
With the T/A cover, what should the preload screws be set to?

Well, the car needs to get fixed again for reasons other than this so I might as well have them fix another shops mess up.
