Is it safe to remove the upper panhard bar??

Okay I have a 94 camaro z28. I currently run 15x3.5" rims up front. I removed the front sway bar already. I was wondering could I remove the upper panhard bar only?? I plan to keep my lower one on still - which is a aftermarket non-adj umi bar. Would it be safe to remove it. Like mentioned I really dont go crazy in turns/corners anymore because of my tires up front. Also My exhuast is hitting it also so it would be nice to remove it.

No do not remove it. It helps locate the axle under the car.

There is one company, sorry i dont remember which ATM, that makes one which 'relocates' the bend in the upper panhard bar to remedy this problem. Look around at the f-body suspension fabricators and im sure you'll find it.

The panhard rod attaches to the upper, so removing it would be a disaster.

My car does not have it but it's 100% trailer queen to the drag strip.

Without it installed, I have seen cars with ripped PHB chassis mounts.

I would leave it in there.

Mid 8-second 97 SS convertible. On this car, the panhard rod has been dropped lower on both ends. The body end bracket, which would normally be stabilized by the upper rod, has been reinforced, including the mounting point at the chassis. Had no problems in a drag application.
