Gates Belt Part number needed for D1

Hi,

I trashed a 12 rib gates belt on my 93 Z28 with a D1. Can anyone help me out with a part number. I'm running a P1200 crank pulley and I'm guessing the blower pulley is around 4" or so. The combination makes 15lbs of boost.
Any help here would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. This is NOT a Procharger only part as I have purchased them in the past from a number of different auto parts stores. The
8 rib part number for a P600 or P1200 for example is Gates Part number K080415.

Gates makes (2) 12 rib belts that will work on either the D1 or P600/1200 blowers depending on pulley sizes. I'm trying to keep from paying Procharger twice as much as the belt would retail for in a parts store.

The (2) 6 rib belt idea might work if both belts were a matched pair otherwise there is going to be slippage big time.

NAPA part number work is like this..

K080418...where K is the style of belt 08 is the number of ribs and 0415 is 41.5" long.

so when I get a belt for my 8 rib setup I get a k080400 ... 8 rib 40 inch belt ...and for my 10 rib setup I run a k100395 10 rib 39.5" long

hope this helps....

i your having trouble with the 12 rib 42 inch belt you could get a 14 rib and cut the other 2 ribs off. i work at a napa and it seems that the 14's are more available. i would do that before the two 6 ribs, its very hard to get a matched set...

Gentlemen,

This isn't rocket science here. ATI doesn't manufacture any belts therefore they have to purchase their belts. Therefore we the general public should be able to purchase the same. Gates or someone else has to carry a 12rib 42" belt.

Sorry, I'm not willing to throw in the towel quite yet.

I've done this, it works fine and cheaper than going to ATI to get a belt.

ATI has the belts made in 12 rib width specifically for their supercharger systems by Gates. As there are no other common applications for 12 rib belts you generally aren't going to find them available to order from the local NAPA. If you purchase a 12 rib from ATI you may notice that ATI's part number is now on the belt as Gates doesn't have another use for the belt. If you chose to roll your own then cutting 2 ribs off of a 14 rib belt is perfectly acceptable if you're patient and careful. Trying to run 2 6 ribs is not an you'd be better off throwing a single 8 rib on there first.
