96 LT1 AutoTrans Rebuild?

My 96 has 110k on it and it seems to be slipping a bit What's normal mileage before rebuild and what can I look for it to cost?
Thanks

Are you looking to build the unit yourself? or are you needing a transmission and possible torque converter? I have everything you need to do it yourself, or a built transmission for your particular need. Go to www.700r4l60e.com If you have any questions about this let me know how I can be of help? Dana

You're right around the milage where we usually see them. As for price, we can build you a 9 second proven 4L60E for $1400 + hard parts (if any). If you want the best, feel free to give us a call 302-250-1202.
If you'd like to check out some of our work, you can check out "CPT CARS", on our web page, or just do a search here. We've got many many satisfied customers.

Thanks,
Frank

As far as what I have seen with these things it's not all about the mileage, there are guys that have the factory unit go out ~50K miles and some that make it to the 100K + zone before needing a rebuild. Mine needed it right in the middle of that at about 72K miles...

As for the cost, like mentioned above there are a few ways of doing it, but I would recommend just pulling it yourself and taking/shipping it to CPT. I think that is the most cost efective way to get a damn nice, well built tranny...

Again, just my .02, good luck with it whatever you choose...

I would get a hold of ebay and tell them about that bozo. That's just not right.

Dana,

Sorry to hear that, is there anything you can do? Did you copywrite your site? Funny because most of that stuff is verbatum from your site...

Good news though, it looks like nobody is biding on his auctions...

You know it is funny because i just read this thread and then all of a sudden I get a PM(on a differentsite) with a guy using the screenname 1bad408stroker telling me he can build a tranny cheaper than what his prices are listed as on his website. Here is the website: www.transperformance.net. Seemed very coincidental to me.

What's even more coincidental that the phone number in that link above traces back to the same area as the IP address of the (ex-)member here who has been trash talking honest companies here who work hard to earn a good reputation. Tactics like that will never fly here.

It is great to know we have trans builders here with integrity and respect for each other and their customers.
