Inch of water under back seat

I don't know where the leak is coming from! I took out my rear seat to clean the carpet really well and there was about an inch of water under the rear passenger seat. The windows don't leak. Anyone have ideas?

Its pretty common for the grommet that feeds the PCM harness through the firewall on the passenger side to leak water into the interior. I would check around there to see if that is the source of the problem.

T-tops? I had an 89 with t-tops, found a few inches of water under my back seat to.

I found where it is leaking from....At the top left corner of the weather stripping, there was a huge gap letting in water. The place that replaced my quarterpanel didn't seal it up so no telling how long it has been letting in water.

Not too clear what part you are talking about, but if that doesn't work out for you check out the hatch weather stripping. If you are parked on an incline nose downhill the water tends to pool up and "overflow the levees" so to speak. When mine did it, it would pool up in the rear passenger bucket.

Which top left corner? The front windows or the rear hatch? I have the same problem and I also had rear quater panel damage fixed.

Here is a picture. Pardon the rusty screw, I need to replace that. The body shop forgot to put one in so I just found one in my garage. But if you look, you can see where the black silicone is kind of squished in there right above the plastic piece that has the rusty screw. I just took a tube of silicone and shoved the nozzle up under that plastic piece and just squeezed and squeezed until it all came gooing came out. Once it dries, check to make sure it seals good by pouring some water in that "valley" and watch for it running down inside your piller. You might have to pull out the interior piece running up the side because with my leak, the water was all running down inside the interior piece.

A side note.. A friend of mine worked at a car dealership and said one way to find leaks is to start the car with the fan on full speed for heat,...coat your car in soapy water and watch for bubbles on the exterior.
