It can do 220? Or even 200?

Nice... the interior has some substantial improvements over the standard base Q7, it seems.

It's really cool how the VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, and Audi Q7 are all based on the same platform yet everything else about them from powertrain to suspension and interior is all so dramatically different you'd absolutely never guess it.

It can do 220? Or even 200?

Considering aerodynamics are FAR more important than power output, and that is an SUV.. I'm gonna say I reeeeally doubt it.

But I bet it sure does 0-150 or so damn quick.:)

Actually, "aerodynamics" (as defined by Cd * frontal area) is equally important as HP in determining how fast a vehicle will go ;)

That's for damn sure. Best be careful lining up against that beast.

The interior looks great. And over 700 ft-lbs of torque on tap, wow.

nice!, the front looks a little buick...

Well it depends how you quantify aerodynamics, I guess. I suppose my point was most people look at a vehicle and say, yeah it's not too aerodynamic, but damn it has 1000hp so it MUST go 200mph.

:p

:pI think that Eric's point is that, by definition, in a vehicle that is drag limited to a top speed (instead of being electronically held back), the top speed is the point at which the available power is equal to the power required to overcome drag at that speed.

In other words, the power output and the aerodynamic profile of the vehicle are equally important (with gearing playing a role as well, of course, as what matters is power to the ground, not power at the flywheel)...

:)
