Transmisson shifts hard

I have a 94 Z28 with a 4L60E transmisson. If I accelerate fast it kind of jumps into second gear. The other gears are fine, what is my promblem. I tried to search but I could not find any info.

Is the vehicle new to you? Any other modifications that you know of? Perhaps a Shift Kit? Need more info.

It's supposed to do that to some extent, even stock. If any programming has been modified, it will probably be more pronounced.

It's stock, a guy that I work with said that I might want to change the tranny fluid. It only jumps into gear like that when I take off fast. It all most feel's like the tranny is going to come threw the floor board.

Sometimes transmission trouble codes can make it shift abnormally hard. Have it scanned for any trouble codes.

There are a few possibilities here. As stated already, check for codes.

The 1-2 accumulator spring may also be broken.

Is this a "slide-bump", or just a hard/quick shift?

What does the fluid look like? Pink? brown? Black? Does it smell burnt.

It's just a hard quick shift, the fluid looks and smells normal. The other gears shift fine. When I spin tires is when it does it the most.

Also check to see if your transmission mount is broken.
