I bought an adjustable torque arm used. It didnt come with an angle checker. I was told I can go to lowes and get one or order one online. Does anyone have a link to exactly what I would need and would I be able to find one at lowes/home depot?

Once I get an angle checker, what exactly am I measuring for? It is a bit confusing. I have checked a few guides but they leave me confused.

The shortcut way is to put the angle finder on the drivesahft and record that angle, put it under the flat bottom of the TA mount on the pinion housing and measure that angle, and adjust it until you have a 1 to 2-degree negative angle between the DS and the pinion shft. That would be a "\/" pointing down.

Sears is probably the best local source for a magnetic angle finder - about $10.

An electronic one will simplify things, because you can let it do the subtraction between the two angles, but the cost is prohibitive:

Sears, Lowes and Home Depot stock angle finders similar to the one Fred posted.

My BMR Adjustable TA came with an angle finder.

They come with an angle finder new, however he said he bought his used.
