Well i got my temporary exhaust..

I got my flowmaster 80 series in the mail today.. going to get it installed tomorrow. Just the muffler, not the catback.

I bought it off ebay, used only 100 miles on it, for $50. (its clean, we took a look inside )

Yes, i'm a cheapass, but it's temporary until i save enough money for something better.. aka, when i put headers on my car and get a borla setup.

Anyways, how do you guys think this will sound on stock manifolds and stock cat. I'm leaning toward removing my cat.. but i'm not sure yet. I live outside the city, so i don't have emissions testing.

Any comments / suggestions for removing a cat.. how would it sound with this muffler with a cat, as opposed to without one.

I wouldn't mess with removing the cat till you get your full exhaust setup. And even then lots of people will say for you to get a High Flow Cat.

If it clogs down the road you can remove it then.

I would leave the cat alone, almost no power gain to be had and you will most likely add more raspiness to your exhaust sound.
