Where can I find projected auto sales for the big three from 1987-2005?

I am a engineering student in Detroit doing research for a class. I need the projected sales in number of cars sold for Ford, Chrysler, and GM from 1987-2005. I cannot find this information anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find it?

http://media.gm.com

They have like the last 3 year's press releases which should contain all the material you need for those years. Beyond that maybe email them and ask for the data. I don't know the sites for Ford or Chrysler.

Projected sales will be next to impossible. Actual sales will exist somewhere.

If you really want what was "projected" I think you are going to have a hard time.

First of all, preditcions change on a regular basis so you would have some well defined paramaters about how far in advance you were going to look for the projection and for what time period ahead the projection was to cover.

That said, the reporters at the WSJ that specifically follow the automotive beat may be able to point you in the right direction.
