bad idea to run n2o with no knock sensor?

my car was pulling alot of timing because one of my accesories is making alot of noise because its a little old, so i got a resistor and disabled my knock sensor. now the car runs like a whole new car, but im planning on running a 150-175 shot soon when my nitrous is all set up. do you guys think its a bad idea to keep running with no knock sensor? i know they are problematic in these cars anyway so id rather not. i am also planning on tuning the nitrous on a dyno with a wide band so it is going to be tuned correctly

I have a heads/cam/true duals car and I never get any knock on my knock sensor. That being said, if the nitrous is setup good, you shouldn't need one, but I would like one to feel safe.
