F1 blower Guys

Haven't even got the motor built yet, and am thinking of moving up one blower. Curious as to how much you paid for your self contained F1 blowers from ATI. I have a brand new D-1SC sitting here that's never even had oil in it and I'm thinking of ditching it for an F1 if I can come out close to even.

Can't say, I didn't pay "retail". It's not a lot more expensive than a D1 though.

It's a start, that helps. I'm just trying to figure if I'm going to break even or how close I can be considering I've got a brand new D1SC here that I can get very close to retail for.

Not that it's a big deal but don't you have to modify the D1 adapter plate for fit the F1 on it? I'm 99% ATI doesn't make a LT1 mounting bracket for the F1.

>I thought the same thing with my T-trim... I was going to trade it brand new in box for a YSi-trim, but Vortech was going to give me pennies on the dollar, so I used as a "break in" S/C until I get the YSi-trim maybe put the T-trim on the Silverado and scare the family in both the truck and Camaro

Re: F1 blower Guys

Everything I've heard says the F1 will bolt right up to the D1 bracketry, you only have to clearance the block a tad. The F1-R however, is a no go.

Re: F1 blower Guys

Mine fit without grinding anything. F1R would take major work though to fit on a 4th gen.

The volute is identical outside to the P1SC or D1SC. The transmission is a bit thicker, a touch under .400. This will move the inlet rearward by that ammount. The mounting pattern is exactly the same.

Had to clear the block too. I wish I had a pick but it was a considerable amount.
