KDW - KD Whats the diff?crb806 07-13-2006, 05:36 PM Whats the difference between the BFG KDW and BFG KD? whats the W? kick Z tail out 07-13-2006, 05:42 PM They get meaner as you subtract the letters. ;) KDWS = ok KDW = better KDs = best :D The KDs have huge tread blocks on the outside half. Injuneer 07-13-2006, 06:41 PM KD(ry) is for dry traction only. KDW(et) is for dry and wet traction KDWS(now) if an all-weather tire, good for snow. crb806 07-13-2006, 08:31 PM i saw one tire called the KDW NT or KD NT have you guys heard of that tire? LT1 POWR 07-13-2006, 09:51 PM The NT stands for New Tread. They have an old design and a new one. Coolformula 10-22-2007, 10:38 PM KDWS was ok, but great treadwear and all seasons. If I had to a go all season again, I might get these, but never did get any snow/ice to try them in. MasterEvilAce 10-22-2007, 10:52 PM The NT tires remind me of swamp thing for some reason. TT (Traditional Tread) is where it's at, imo. z95lt1 05-27-2008, 06:29 PM K= key, D= dry, W= wet, S= snow. i like my kdws on my lt1. to bad bfg is not make them anymore. Injuneer 05-28-2008, 01:23 AM A 7 month old thread rises like a Phoenix from the ashes....... :D SOLO Z 01-31-2009, 02:54 PM I believe they make the KD's anymore? 96 Z 28 01-31-2009, 04:57 PM The NT tires remind me of swamp thing for some reason. TT (Traditional Tread) is where it's at, imo. I have the NT, and well I'd say you're DEAD WRONG;) The NT is awesome, excellent dry traction, and I am able to keep the car straight in the rain, well if I don't use to much of the loud pedal anyways....:p Definitely much better than the original tread:cool: Except you'll need 18" rims to fit the correct size:alert: Injuneer 02-01-2009, 11:49 AM I believe they make the KD's anymore? Are you asking us if they still make them? If so, BFG does not list a "KD" model on their website any more. They have realigned their tire names a bit over the years. And since this thread is now 2-1/2 years old, I'm not sure how important it is :D SOLO Z 02-05-2009, 01:56 AM Are you asking us if they still make them?
