Brake Pedal Switch

I am in the process of wiring up my BMN Window switch (for a NX Wet Kit) and it is required to wire the unit to the 'brake pedal switch wire' so that at the end of a pass on nitrous it will shut off the nitrous once you hit the brakes.

I have done multiple searches and haven't come up with any results stating exactly which wire to use to wire into, in fact there really isn't many results at all as far as people who have used the BMN Window Switch.

I've also checked ShoeBox's website and haven't comeup with anything on there either. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or show me a diagram that will help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I don't know if this is true for 4th gens, but for 3rd gens there is a button behind the brake pedal lever. It is kind of up far, and not too hard to get to or take out. Don't know if it's the same, but it's worth a try.

A WOT switch is used with most nitrous installations which will shut off the system when your throttle drops below 80% or so. Therefore isn't the brake switch redundant?

I am using a ZEX TPS Switch -- the BMN will not operate without having the brake pedal switch wire wired to the unit. Somewhat silly, I know. I am using the TPS so I don't have to mess with a WOT switch in the engine bay, you won't even be able to tell the kit is there when I'm done.

Long story short, I dug up in a thread from '04 that someone said the Light Blue wire on the Brake Pedal switch is the wire to splice into. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Brake Pedal Switch

Just use a test light. One side of the switch is always live and the other side comes live when the switch is closed (brake pedal is depressed). You want to tie into the one that comes live with the brake on.
