I've seen it before on a Corvette. This one is on a NSX. Is it two extra pistons? This is also the back brakes, not the front. What's going on here?

Extra piston is for the E-brake...That setup in sweet and I have seen it on a Vette or two

why would you want an e-brake on the front? isnt that for EMERGENCY braking? if you wanted to drift/stop safely then you wouldnt want the front wheels locking...hence ABS brakes. so the fronts dont lock up...so you can maintain control of the car while you slow to a stop if your brakes dont work.
it would be nice though for a safety aspect while working on the car. set the e-brake and lift from the rear, not having to worry about the car rolling on ya...???
