Did I mess up?

I recently got gen f shcoks all around and 275 front HAL springs. I was going to go with the R series but I heard it wasn't a very streetable shock.....I am only planning on driving it on the street occasionally, but it will be mainly used for drag racing. im going for high to mid 8 sec 1/4 mile runs. the reason i went with gen f is so i could still use it on the street occasionly but I just read a thread that you could use the R series on the steet...is this true? Will it make that much of a diff. should I just keep the gen f? or should i go through the hassle of exxhanging them for the extra performance at the track?(If i can and its not too late)...I haven't installed them yet.

thanks for any help
