The battle of the slimeballs.

IMO, Soros is an especially scummy bag.

Wait, this is the same loony/lowlife George Soros who funded all sorts of ridiculous, left wing political smear groups and whined like a b!tch after the 2004 election? Now he wants to help the damn copycat Chinese company import cars here?

Yeah, obviously he is genuinely concerned about the state of our nation. He and Bricklin ought to go find a nice little Chinese village and spend the rest of their days playing hide the sausage with each other.

Sorry for the immature post, but this whole importing Chinese cars thing is not sitting well with me.

Yup, that's Soros. Bricklin's no choir boy, and maybe you might need to count all your fingers after shaking hands with him.....but Soros is much worse IMO. Soros definitely does not have this country's best interests at heart. In fact, I consider him to be blatantly anti-American. I wish Soros nothing but failure.

Re: Is Soros pushing Bricklin out at Chery?

We don't need those death traps in the USA.

What benifit would anyone in the US receive from these cars being sold here? More highway deaths? There aren't any better on gas, they are less safe, and I'm sure they won't last as long as say a used Aveo of the same price. Competition is good, and I'm not agaisnt importing something the US doesn't have (Holdens, Smarts, or Euro Diesels) but only foolish, and poor Americans will buy these cars. Although I guess that is evolution at work. 1 year old 5 start crash rated Aveo vs. 1 star rated Chinese NEW car, shouldn't be a hard choice, Unfortunatly someone will buy the Soro/Bricklin cars.

Amen to that. That SOB starting to make me wonder if he's really a Soviet sleeper agent that was never activated. That's how much I despise that man. I'd deport the SOB to NK if I had the power. I hope that Chery (AKA we Chinese can't compete so we ripped off an american nameplate) goes the way of the Yugo and Soros fails, just like his other anti American ventures. Some of the posts in this thread http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455920 give me cause for concern.

Bricklin? Malcolm Bricklin is still trying to make money in the car business? Wow, didn't know he was still around.

Here's something you ought to get a kick out of.

Well, that probably now gives you the same perspective that those of us in the parts world have had for the last five years or so. Just wait - it gets better, with all the MBA wannabes proclaiming the beauty of the "free market".

Do tell!
I like to hear what people in the industry think about these topics. You guys experience it day to day. People like me get info just when it pops up on tv.

Isn't the 2007 Aveo going to be built in China?
