The connection was fine though, flush...sealed with a sealant as well, but just thre code for no reason. I can't remember now if adding the RTV solved the problem or if I just had the EGR code programmed out. Either way, it wasn't really a problem with the EGR...just was throwing the code. Get it scanned definitely - my guess is EGR flow - based on personal experience only. 95LT1conv 05-21-2006, 12:00 PM thanks guys fredmr39 05-21-2006, 07:33 PM let us know what the code ended up being if ya scan it...just curious StephenDeli22 05-22-2006, 12:27 AM I had that same situation when it threw a code and it was EGR Failure... I could turn the car off and then restart it and the code would go off. So Im not worrying about it and eventually going to get it tuned out of my PCM.
