How to tell if my A/C compressor is working??

How to tell if my A/C compressor is working??

Dont hear/feel any clicks when I turn it to A/C... (and the air isnt colder either, there was a few leaks I have fixed in the lines where they where just lose) but besides that I dont even think my compressor is working and I cant hear **** over hooker headers,ypipe and borla exhaust

Just look unde the hood! It should rotate! If it's not... then its not working! ... When you turn it on... the idle should jump kind of... if it was leaking, it probably all ready dont have normal pressure.. there is pressure sensor... if the pressure sensor reading low pressure it not going to work... chek the pressure.

got ya on the rotating.. now on the pressure where the hell is that? do I have to hook up to the PCM?

No! I don't think the PCM even control AC! there is kit with guges... it cost about $75 (sow one @ Advance Auto Parts) you connect it to the velves on the ac hoses and it show u high and low pressure... with same kit you add freon to the system...

The PCM reads the AC evap temperature, the AC refrigerant pressure, the AC clutch status, and the AC request signal from the HVAC controls. The PCM controls the AC clutch relay (pin D8). You can read AC refrigerant pressure with a scanner off the PCM.
