What is the ideal bottle pressure? I'm running a 125 shot NX shark nozzle kit. I have a bottle heater with the pressure switch, so I can tweek it for max performance. I have 57/36 jets:confused:

I usually aim for around 1200psi

Mine works good at 900 psi

Mine is pretty good at 900, but hit's about twice as hard when it's at 1200:cool:

I was wondering how far you could raise the n20 pressure before you go to lean.

I like 1100, but keep in mind, the higher you go in pressure, the more it's gonna lean out cause your spraying mor n20 then at lower pressures. Best to get it on a wide band to know exactly what A/F's your running as specific bottle pressures so you know where your running at what pressure.

Very true, IMO (for a street car that you leave the bottle in all the time in high heat, like mine) it's always best to get things running perfect with the highest bottle pressure you'll ever want to run at, so that you can only run richer with less than perfect (lower) bottle pressure...... Mine probably wouldn't be lean even at bottle pressures exceding 1300 PSI, in which case I wouldn't activate the system anyway....I'd purge some to get it down to 1200, or very close......Joe

I agree with all of them. Aim for 1200 lbs when spraying, i try to but when u get a race and cant exactly get it perfect then be cautious

1200 is really too high, anything over 1050 and notrous phase changes to a gas. Most nitrous companies recomend 900-1000.

The "ideal bottle pressure" would be dependent on which manufactures nitrous system you were running. For instance our jetting is based off of 950 psi, so for our kits 950 psi is the "ideal bottle pressure". Brand X's might be 1000 psi and so on.

I run my NOS dry system at 1200 psi. I get the bottle up to 1400 psi before I head up to the staging lanes.
