well, tired several stores. Found two stores with VHT engine enamel, but they can't get red. Dont stock it, their warehouses don't stock it, and they can't order it. WTF? Anyone else run into this problem? They stock black, but no red. Just my damn luck too.

So, anyone know where to get it, or do I have to switch brands?

How is duplicolor? I see they have a 500 degree temp paint and a 1200 degree temp paint. Which one would be needed for the block, intake, and valve covers?

it seems every store carries dupli-color, but is it worth a crap?

 

I've used the high temp duplicolor before and it seems to work really well but I seemed like it had to "bake" forever before the funky smell went away.

 

There are numerous places online selling VHT.... why not find a source that wants to sell you something rather than giving up because some local clowns aren't interested.

 

I'd use Plasticote engine paint with Krylon clear on top. Sprays much better then with the duplicolor stuff and lasts way longer.

Auto zone and napa have it around me and the VHT is much better IMO than the duplicolor or plasticote.

 

Yeah, I have heard people saying that VHT rocks. But, they don't make red anymore. I am gonna take injuneers advice, im gonna try online to buy it! Did the VHT users use their primer too, or just shoot color?
