wireless steering wheel buttons, check them out

I was at a show for new products this past weekend and came across this, its wireless buttons for N20 line lock transbrake what ever you want it to be, its made to fit on a aftermarket steering wheel like a grant, I really like the idea sence i hate the spiral cord wires, what do you guys think of it? anyone interested, there not in production yet they need some peoples interest before they start, Im going to be getting one of them and putting it on my car and take pics for them and see how well they work

Jeez, and I thought it didn't get any better than wireless keyboards and mice. That is a pretty cool idea.

If they are wireless, what are all the wires in the picture?
Do the buttons work on a radio signal?
Got more info?

I prefer stuff to look stock. But that's a pretty cool product. Has anyone ever gotten the steering wheel radio controls to work as switches for anything else?

The wires look to be for illumination of the switches. And if it's possible to run wires to illuminate the switches easily, why not just run wires for the switches also.

Hmm you could prob make the steering wheels controls do other functions since when I got a new headunit, I wanted to retain the steering wheel button functionality. They have a harness that you can program to turn the wired signal into a wireless signal to work with the headunit. I dunno, interesting idea.

I just did a search. Apparently the stearing controls put out some sort of signal that isn't just 12v. Seems it's a lot more complicated then i imagined, but it seems doable. I'm going to look into it more.

Re: wireless steering wheel buttons, check them out

the wire harness with the fuse in there is for the recever its not hooked up to the transmitter, that harness hooks up into the wire on the wire that coming out of the box on the bottom, the black box that behind where it says ignited is the transmitter and has a battery in there that can be double side taped to the back of the bracket where it says ignited. I did make one suggestion to him when I seen them was to run a ribbon wire from the switces to the transmitter to clean it up a little but then it would have to be mounted on the bracket you couldnt mount it inside the wheel adapter like Im hoping to, once I get it ill have more pics, Im hoping to have one in the next couple of weeks to play around with here.

So does this mean we'd have to change the batteries for our steering wheels now? heh.
