Well the air was very good down here this weekend for the Thunder Racing Southern Shootout. Poeple were setting new best left & right.
As for me I ran test & tune Friday night and ET brackets in the Shootout Saturday. I decided to pull some weight out of the car Friday morning... spare, jack, back seat, & the subwoofer good for 102 pounds total. Friday night I poped off three consecutive 12.3's... 12.305, 12.303, 12.306. Best 60' of the night was 1.60 with a best trap of 108.48. Not bad for a Bolt-On LT1.
Saturday in time trials I pulled another 12.305 @ 108.32 on a 1.59 60'. Only bad run of the day was a 12.73 @ 107 thanks to a spinning 1.83 60'.
I'm currently kicking myself for letting off the gas in the first round of eliminations so I would not break out. Looking at the times on the pass you can see it would have been an EASY mid 12.2 pass:

Dial in: 12.35
R/T: .501
60': 1.56
330: 4.886
1/8: 7.715
MPH: 86.05
1000: 10.188
1/4: 12.363
MPH: 96.98 Brakes!!!

DA was 191' on that run.
Oh well, I should have stayed in it since I broke out next round, LOL.
Anyway the shoot out was a blast and next year should be even better.

 

That is awesome man. Those are great times for just bolt ons.

Congrats,november 16 will be my next trip...but im not putting much emphasis on the N/A runs......im stepping the nitrous jets up to 175 and possibly 200 to see what happens.............
